


Open Forum - Celebrations in the Atrium
Join us for an open forum exploring how the celebrations of Epiphany, the Liturgy of Light, and Pentecost are lived in the atrium. Together we will reflect on how these celebrations unfold within each atrium environment and what it looks like when they span multiple levels.

This open forum invites catechists into a shared reflection on the role of celebration in the atrium, with particular attention to Epiphany, the Liturgy of Light, and Pentecost. In the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, celebration flows from the child’s deepest characteristic: the capacity and need for relationship, and the desire to rejoice in that relationship. Within the atrium, celebrations give visible expression to the child’s growing relationship with the Good Shepherd lived in the atrium environment.
Together, we will explore how these celebrations take shape within Level I, Level II, and Level III atria. We will consider how the same mystery is encountered and proclaimed in age-appropriate ways, how the essential elements of each celebration are preserved, and how catechists prepare and accompany the children in these moments of communal prayer.
